    Integrated Service Solutions Ltd (ISS) is an innovative service provider operating primarily within the Fresh Produce sector in the UK. We operate independently, with the opportunity to draw on the expertise and network of the Terradace Group of which we are part.

    Since inception in 2014, ISS has experienced phenomenal growth. With annual revenues in excess of £60 million, and having established a strong market position, we now employ over 1,000 people operating across three sites across Kent: a 120,000 site at Teynham the primary site for the business, a 74,000 site at Linton added in 2020 and a 130,000 sq ft site in Sittingbourne acquired in 2022.

    We are now looking for a Production Shift Manager to join us.

    This is a night shift position.

    Role Summary:

    • Lead and manage all aspects of Production within the facility to deliver an effective and efficient operation against daily and shift targets and plans whilst providing a centre of excellence approach.
    • In combination with the operations team support change through Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase productivity & efficiency. Deliver problem-solving action plans & projects leading to tangible increases in results.
    • Ensure quality and health & safety standards are achieved and maintained. Ensure production teams are trained in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Health & Safety Procedures and Product Specifications.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all Health & Safety and people management issues are identified and referred or handled in line with Company policy and procedure. Ensure all issues are resolved to root cause to safeguard employees, operational areas and the Company
    • Manage production teams to achieve daily output, packing efficiency and quality requirements ensuring that out-load times and volumes are always achieved
    • Labour bookings; liaise with shift planning to ensure adequate labour provision to budget standard
    • HR administration; RTW/Holiday Planning/TMS completion, key liaison for holiday planning and HR procedural compliance
    • Provide First Aid as and when required to do so in accordance with the training provided and complete any associated paperwork including if required a full incident investigation
    • Identify any training needs within your team and liaise with the training team to address these gaps.
    • Ensure all operational matters are owned and resolved efficiently and in line with all legal requirements
    • Maintain audit compliance every day, ensuring we maintain Green Status & achieve targeted GMP scores on internal audits, addressing any non-conformances daily and implementing any corrective actions. Work as a team to ensure understanding of external audit requirements to ensure compliance so ISS can achieve the highest level of external accreditations
    • Implement 'Lean' manufacturing in the factory to improve performance, including productivity, OEE & GM
    • Pro-actively promote & demonstrate Company Values. Impact team behaviour in a positive manner & increase engagement
    • Ensure all required information is communicated accurately in a timely and effective manner across all areas of the business
    • Foster a culture of can-do attitude whilst ensuring all day to day tasks are completed in a timely manner
    • The post holder will have 'key holder' and 'duty holder' responsibilities which will involve understanding the main control systems for site, playing a key role within the site EAP team and may involve opening/closing site

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Preferred 5-10 years experience in industry
    • Operational and Manufacturing Management experience in a fast moving customer focused business such as Produce, FMCG, Manufacturing or Food environment.
    • A track record of implementing and delivering against a plan.
    • Internal and external stakeholder communication.
    • Demonstrable leadership experience in a multi-disciplinary customer focused environment.
    • Must demonstrate an ability to motivate, coach and develop people.
