Senior Technical Project Lead - OMICS

Location:
South Cambridgeshire


Salary:
£60k-£90k (dep on exp) + annual profit share bonus + excellent benefits + potential hybrid model


A new position has arisen for an experienced Senior Technical Project Leader to join a rapidly expanding technology development company - specifically to work within the OMICS division.

As the Senior Technical Project Leader, you will be leading high profile projects whilst solving highly technical problems and developing relationships with new and existing clients.


The work is in some truly exciting and cutting-edge areas; genomics, proteomics and future omics with real world changing innovations within cell therapies, point of care diagnostics, high-throughput drug discovery, molecular detection and cancer screening.

The team are creating their own novel IP and innovating across the OMICS field from spatial biology and single cell analytics to novel approaches in RNA, DNA and protein sequencing.


This role would suit an experienced project leader with extensive experience within product development - able to look at a product with a wholistic view appreciating the various engineering and science systems and how they come together.

Thus, a systems engineer perspective would be highly advantageous.

The Senior Technical Project Leader will need the following:

  • Recent and relevant experience in a project lead role within the field of Omics (Genomics, proteomics, multi-omics)
  • Strong academic credentials in Engineering (electronic or mechanical) or science (Applied Physics, biochemistry, biology, biomedical, molecular biology) coupled with in depth knowledge of the life science omics sector.
  • Capability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills in client
