- Manual & CNC Machining of Tube components, fixturing and tooling.
- Dimensional inspection/analysis of Tube cell components and associated components
- Operation of Manual & CNC Machines
- Operation of the Tridex Tube cutting Machine (Training will be given)
- Operation of the BLM Tube Forming machine (Training will be given)
- Operation of Soco Electric Tube bending machine (Training will be given)
- Assembly of lower-level components to sub-assembly stage
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions
- Reporting any plant/equipment damage
- Ensure QA Cards are completed correctly
- Participate in any Toolbox Talks/Risk Assessments
- Ensure personal competency records are kept up to date
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
- Responsible for ensuring that Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and general housekeeping standards are maintained at all times
- Maintain good working relationships with other team members
- Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business Qualifications
- Mechanical Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
- Mechanical SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
- Be fully competent to carry out all Machining Tasks Experience
- Experience of various types of Machine work
- Good Problem solving and Analytical behaviour Behaviours and skills
- Effective communication skills
- Honest and reliable
- Self-motivated & Enthusiastic
- Ability to work well in a team and to take own initiative

The Tube cell machinist will work between the tube cell and the repair machine shop carrying out any required tasks on Tubes. This will consist of Machining, assembling, forming, cutting and Tube bending.
