Howarth Morris are recruiting an Assistant Accountant for one of the largest Housing Association and Property Developers in the North West.

Based in their modern, vibrant HQ in the heart of Liverpool city centre, the role will support in the productionof Group and subsidiary financial statements in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the accountancy function.

Key Responsibilities

Support in the production of Group and subsidiary financial statements.
Assist with the completion and monitoring of balance sheet reconciliations
Support with the implementation of appropriate financial controls, policies and procedures
Intercompany reconciliations
Preparing and posting journals
General Ledger maintenance
Working closely with AP, AR and Treasury
Use excel to hadle large volumes of data, setting formulas such as vlookup, sumif, countif etc
Applicants will be Part Qualified ACA / ACCA or CIMA, but full study support is available

- track record in delivering operational improvements

Strong analytical skills
Balance sheet experience
Experience of Housing, Property, Construction would be advantageous
Strong IT skills including various ERP systems and use of Excel
Evidence of and commitment to continual professional, leadership and personal development
