Are you an experienced and motivated leader looking for a new challenge within Adult Social Care? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our dynamic and supportive Adult Social Care Service.


As a Team Leader, you will report to the Locality Manager and play a crucial role in the effective delivery of high-quality social care services to our local community.

You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring the provision of person-centred care and support to individuals and their families.


Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the team, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent service
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of practice, in line with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines
  • Foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting effective collaboration and partnership working
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives
  • Support the Locality Manager in the strategic planning and resource allocation for the service
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a social care setting
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of individuals
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • A compassionate and personcentred approach, with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people's lives
