    Job Role:

    Taylor Woodrow are recruiting for Graduate Site Engineers looking to embark on a career in site Engineering with a Tier 1 main contractor like us

    Reporting to a Section Engineer, the Graduate Site Engineer will be responsible for supporting the team in ensuring that all works, including those of suppliers and subcontractors are coordinated to deliver on safety, quality and environmental objectives across their package

    Duties:

    • Assist with ensuring all permits are applied for and in place, ready for site work to begin.
    • Assist the team with the Inspection and Test Plans and Quality Check Sheets ensuring they are completed as soon as the checks can be completed.
    • Setting out and surveying
    • Assist the Section Engineer with the management of subcontractors.
    • Make effective use of document control to manage distribution of information.
    • Develop and approve relevant procedures specific to the area of works.
    • Approve method statements and risk assessments and ensure they are being followed throughout the works.
    • Regularly attend meetings with the client, providing updates where necessary
    • Ensure Design Drawings are marked up to reflect works completed as the works are finished.
    • Liaise with other Sections to ensure any clashes on site are managed to ensure a smooth flow of work.
    • Regularly review procedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible.

    Person Specification

    • Working towards a degree in a civil engineering related subject
    • Passionate about a career in construction and more importantly, main contracting.
    • Full UK driving licence
    • Willing to lodge away from home where applicable.

    Our graduate scheme starts from September 2024 and offers the opportunity to rotate across a variety of our projects to allow our graduates to gain as much experience as possible. You will be enrolled onto our Engineering Development Scheme (EDS) which supports with working towards IEng and CEng
