Aboutthe role

As an Expert Ancient andWorld Coins you will be closely involved with evaluating andarranging lots submitted by our users. Using your expert knowledgeand your extensive network you will be responsible for creatingattractive auctions every week. Catawiki strives to keep usertransactions as transparent and fair as possible and your expertiseand experience play a large part in maintaining this standard; youknow better than anyone what items are of interest to ourusers.

You will review lot titles descriptionslot pictures and provide users with an estimated value based onthis information. If you need to reject a submission you do so in aprofessional and courteous manner. You demonstrate a strongunderstanding of the market dynamics and pricing. Your effortsresult in exceptional auctions that bidders will find irresistible.We expect you to create your auctions by engaging with your networkand top sellers and by working with our Sales teams to attract newSellers and offer even more choices to our Buyers.You will guidesellers through the whole process ensuring a smooth and efficientexperience.

You will play a crucial role inexpanding our network of sellers within your area of expertise. Youwill be leveraging your industry contacts and proactively buildingnew relationships to expand our network of sellers. You willprovide valuable insights and feedback to enhance the overallseller experience.

You will be working togetherwith our sales and marketing teams. You will proactively reviewseller segments assist team members in onboarding high potentialleads and scaling existing sellers. You will collaborate with salesand marketing to align strategies and maximise the sales of yourauctions.

Who youare

We do not necessarily requireany diplomas or experience in similar functions however we dorequire:

• Expert knowledge in yourfield; with broad knowledge around Ancient and World Coins We willconsider candidates with different specialties please be preparedto share your knowledge areas)
• A network ofdealers and buyers.
• Documented commercialexperience;
• You are a natural team player andthrive in a diverse team environment;
• ExcellentEnglish communication;
• Good computerskills;
• Naturally you have an extensive networkof potential sellers and experts in yourfield;
• You have the diplomatic competenceneeded to act as a mediator in disputes betweenusers;
• Experience analysing and implementingdata within your work and utilising data for future growth withinthe category.
• Fluent inEnglish

Our offices and way ofworking

We have sensationaloffices in Amsterdam Groningen Paris and our newest office inLisbon. Most of our employees are within commutable distance of oneof our office locations and enjoy a hybrid work model. This meanswe expect you to be in the office 2 out of 5 days roughly 40% ofyour working time to collaborate and connect with each other. Theexception is of course if the job description specifically statesthat the role is 100% remote as some experts and sales positionsare.
