    About the role

    We are looking for an intelligent and driven person to take on a role as our Finance Manager leading our day to day financial and commercial deliverables from London for Airbnb and Mars across EMEA.

    This role would suit someone from a Marketing or Media Agency background where client servicing and billing, as well as Project billing is how the business operates. So, If you have a Client servicing Account background and want to delve deeper into the commercials - this role is perfect for you.

    Our matrix structure will require you to work across our practice teams and client teams, working with EssenceMediacom and GroupM teams across our eight markets (UK, FR, DE, IT, ES, BE, CH & NL) and our US global commercial team who are US based, supporting the day-to-day EMEA business.

    In your unique role you will be supporting budget management, reporting and financial accuracy around our high-performing brand campaigns across a range of products. You will both support and challenge teams to deliver on quality/accuracy, timeline and end-to-end client satisfaction from our finance deliveries.

    Responsibilities of the role:

    • Responsible for data and financial accuracy across Airbnb & Mars EMEA campaigns (including Olive set up, accounting doc and global spend tracker updates, media authorization forms, and data checks)
    • Responsible for invoicing and reconciliation according to agreed financial management timelines and process
    • Advise Account Director/Client Director on the status of financial campaign delivery and assist with financial risk/issue identification and resolution.
    • Assist the Account Director in coordination of internal spot checks, reviewing the existing control processes, drive financial best practice among account teams and suggesting improvements.
    • Track, measure and report ongoing performance of our campaigns against agreed process.
    • Responsible for weekly update of campaign tracker documentation for all financial and commercial matters internally and externally.
    • Oversee and own quality control to ensure account team are consistently delivering exceptional quality of all financial matters throughout the campaign lifecycle.
    • Ad Hoc financial and commercial analysis that is required

    • Desire to work collaboratively and establish and maintain internal and external networks.
    • Ability to manage different stakeholders, with the gravitas and self-confidence to ensure that common objectives are met.

    Financial

    • The role will require strong numerical skills, calmness under pressure and the ability to problem solve.
    • A thirst for new learning and a drive to develop new approaches.
    • Understanding of the media and communications industry. Direct experience is desirable but not essential.
    • Deep understanding of billing and invoicing

    Clients

    • Proactive approach, a logical and analytical thought process, with good attention to detail and high level of accuracy in their output.
    • Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
