We are currently working with a packaging manufacturing business based in Crewe, who are looking for an Electrical biased, Multi-Skilled Engineer.
Responsibilities
- To provide electrical & instrument support to the maintenance department in order to carry out repairs on all plant equipment in a safely and timely manner.
- Experience within packaging / plastics not essential
- Carry out other support and maintenance work when required
- Ensuring all machinery and equipment on site is electronically safe
- Carry out breakdown and preventative maintenance on all machinery such as blow moulding machines
- Generate pre job hazard assessment and rick assessment in order to obtain the safety permits when required.
- Provide feedback and improvement / ideas on work done
Qualifications
- A recognised electrical / instrumentation apprenticeship
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Control engineering
- Good knowledge with wiring regulations
- Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Commitment to health and safety procedures, risk systems, auditing and work procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience / ability to demonstrate LEAN manufacturing principles
