    To secure work through the planning and prioritising of estimates and designs for ground improvement techniques, ensuring that high quality, competitive proposals are delivered to the customer in a manner consistent with the business strategy and procedures.

    Ensure that innovative solutions are produced and that all identified risks are mitigated.

    • Ensure that the correct methods, outputs and plant/resources are selected to deliver the solution, ensuring that all risks are mitigated. o Manage and coordinate the preparation of tender price schedules in accordance with the pricing strategy and risk assessments. Ensure that cost plans are accurate and reflect the project requirements and risk profile.
    • Ensure effective communication with customers during and after the bid process to maximise our opportunities and to build long term relationships and encourage repeat work.
    • Ensure that the project operation and commercial teams have received an effective handover of bid documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with business strategy and authority levels.

    Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that ground engineering is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards.

    Actively participate in determining the business strategy and pricing activity.
    Contribute to the development of our marketing material including brochures, websites and data sheets.

    • Organise and attend corporate events.
    • A degree in a relevant subject and membership of a relevant professional body (ICE, GeolSoc) and a valid CSCS card.
    The role requires experience and exceptional technical/engineering knowledge of ground engineering processes.

    The individual should be customer centric and flexible in approach, they will have the strategic and creative insight to understand the range of opportunities in invitations to tender and be willing to challenge the norm.

    The individual will be both focussed and thorough and have the gravitas and professional credibility to advise senior management when something needs immediate redress together with the tenacity and drive to ensure that the necessary action is taken.
