    Interim Conference Manager

    Chartered Institute - Membership Body

    Hybrid – Central London

    Interim, Full-time

    Start asap – October 2024

    My client a well-established and reputable Chartered Institute membership body is currently looking for an Interim Conference Manager

    The Role of Interim Conference Manager:

    Our client is looking for an experienced Conference Manager to deliver their UK conference programme until October 2024. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and be available to travel around the UK to visit venues and collaborate with various commercial organisations and their members to deliver high quality events.

    Your main duties and responsibilities will include:


    •Responsible for planning and delivering the organisation's conference programme from concept to delivery, with support from the rest of the team.


    •Support the Events team with various smaller events and webinars

    .
    •Running Content Advisory Panels (Members and Executive Team) and steering/producing the content for commercial conferences


    •Undertaking extensive desk-based research to assist the marketing of the programme


    •Managing and being accountable for the full delegate booking process


    •Providing a high level of customer service to all commercial partners and attendees


    •be aware of and comply with the organisations' and relevant external Health and Safety Policies

    The following skills and experience are required:


    •At least 2 years' experience in planning large conferences (c. 200 attendees)


    •Excellent organisation, planning and communication skills


    •Attention to detail


    •Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously


    •Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to deal with people at senior level


    •Ability to work as a team member in harmony with other departments


    •A flexible attitude and able to meet deadlines


    •IT skills - Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills


    •Excellent grammar, spelling, drafting, writing and proof-reading ability
