    The nature of the role

    This role is responsible for producing, reviewing, commenting on and accepting proposals, calculations, specifications and drawings while ensuring that the work is planned and executed in accordance with Katoni's project execution plan and policies for Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental protection.

    You'll liaise with clients on occasion and make sure we are meeting their needs also discussing future opportunities for Katoni to provide support. Your experience will mean you'll work with minimal supervision but be rest assured the team is here to support you.

    In this role, you'll be expected to deliver the following:

    In the role you will want to deliver the following:


    • Work in accordance with Katoni's integrated management system and help improve this system as we move forward


    • Work with our Engineering team to ensure output is of the highest quality possibly and compliance with relevant standards, codes and procedures


    • Working to industry standards and Katoni drawing procedures


    • Ensure all CAD files are stored in the appropriate project folders


    • 2D drawing and detailing of piping structures and supports


    • Independent production of piping drawings


    • Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports


    • AutoCAD output with true regard to Safety and in compliance with national and Client Codes & Standards


    • Efficient interpretation of Clients, other design disciplines and supplier's information to ensure project deadlines are met in a timely manner.


    • Participation in internal and external design reviews.


    • Carry out site surveys


    • Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process


    • Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule


    • Maintain required technical quality of work


    • Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to discipline workscope


    • Maintain filing system


    • Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required


    • Assist Lead/Senior Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties
