About You:
You should have some academic or commercial programming experience and have a genuine interest in technology.
We are looking for people who are confident in critical thinking, enjoy tackling different problems in a structured way and are highly motivated self-starters.
Our consultants should have great interpersonal and communication skills and a strong desire to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- After training, you'll be working as a developer on one of our client projects, typically moving onto other client work after 612 months.
- Responsible for developing and optimising reliable and resilient deployment pipelines alongside advocating DevOps principles, practices and philosophy.
- Being part of a larger team working with and learning from a senior developer within the team.
- Working closely with clients to understand their needs
- Help us to grow our software engineering practice
Key Skills:
- Scientific or technical degree, or a relevant professional qualification/coding bootcamp, or equivalent experience
- Some experience in software development, particularly in Python
- Understanding of common programming models (client/server, web based, integration)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of web infrastructure
- Some understanding of DevOps technologies (Git, Docker, Jenkins, Travis or AWS)
- Understanding of development methodologies
- Agile and Waterfall
- Web technologies (front end particularly, a clear understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc)
- Some awareness of testing practices and CI/CD pipelines would be helpful
- Experience of / familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, Docker, or AWS/Azure DevOps would be helpful
