Operations manager for an a
ccountancy firm, experience is essential but I'm open to conversations.

The role

The main purpose of this role is to work as part of an operations team in delivering efficiencies and improvements in how the business operates, from large scale changes to day-to-day management processes.

This will be in areas as diverse as people, process,technology, facilities, and financial management. The team will allow client facing team members to dedicate their time to their clients. The role will report to an Operations Director.

Key accountabilities

The areas the team will be responsible for will include:

  • Supporting departmental management teams in delivering improvements in service specific processes
  • Contributing to larger change projects identified and agreed by the firm's management team.
  • Delivering efficiency gains through proactive management of key KPIs
  • Allowing chargeable team members to focus on chargeable work and business development.
  • Resource management and job allocation
  • Completing nontechnical elements of inductions
  • Working with department heads to arrange and deliver departmental, and cross team, training, team building and social functions.
  • Liaising with the operations team around matters relating to technology, human resources, facilities.
