The Role:
Moderna is seeking a Sr. associate for inventory management and laboratory operations.
The postholder will serve as a point of contact to laboratory management and the scientific team to support logístical, inventory and operations aspects of any laboratory activities across multiple clinical projects.
A Sr associate will work closely with the health & safety team to ensure safe storage hazardous materials and seeks advice when necessary.
D uties include, but are not limited to, stock control and placing orders using digital management tools. Work closely with equipment owners to onboard equipment/instruments ensuring correct documentation is generated and retained according to SOP's. Managing routine maintenance including cleaning and disinfecting of all laboratory instruments and equipment. This position reports to the Sr laboratory manager, Clinical Biomarker Laboratory Operations, part of Moderna's Clinical Biomarkers group.Working outside contracted hours may be required from time to time, in accordance with the needs of the business.
Here's What You'll Do:
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders regarding inventory management and services affecting operations.
Working closely with the health & safety team to ensure all chemicals are stored correctly and all necessary documentations are obtained and stored appropriately
Liaise with internal stakeholders for technical support, reagents, and non-clinical ordering
Working with Moderna procurement and vendors to obtain quotations
Using digital management tools for procurement and asset management
M aintaining inventory, maintenance, health & safety, and all other relevant records. Records must be stored on the database for visibility to management and other stakeholders.
Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products including management of reagents and work with internal and external stakeholders for management of consumables
Ensuring receipts and shipment documentation is accurately collated and filed on the digital management database.
Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company's standards.
Ensuring the maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment is scheduled and carried out.
Here's What You Will Bring to the Table:
A bachelor's degree is essential, preferably in the life sciences but relevant experience will be considered.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in CRO (Contract Research Organization), biomedical institution or pharmaceutical is preferred
Experience in clinical laboratory management and digital tools (SAP (Statistical Analysis Plan), ARIBA, Agiloft, Blue Mountain, Maximo, and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)) is preferred.
Planning and Organizing experience are critical to this position.
Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel.
Interpersonal and communication skills are key.
