The University Hospital of North Midlands, Mid Cheshire and East Cheshire NHS Trusts are working collaboratively to form a Pathology network (NMCPS) in line with a NHSI directive.
We are looking for a confident and well-presented individual to join our phlebotomy team. The collection of quality blood samples from patients is a vital stage in many medical investigations. Full training will be given to the successful applicant - no previous experience is requiredWe offer a phlebotomy service in a range of locations across North Midlands including Royal Stoke and County Hospitals, ward based, community walk-in centres and community appointment based clinics.
The successful applicant will be based at COUNTY HOSPITAL working primarily on the wards. You will also be required to work at community clinics and the phlebotomy suite within the Out Patients Department at County Hospital There may be the occasional requirement to work at Royal Stoke HospitalVarious shifts are available within the shift patterns on offer and can be discussed at interview but primarily will be 7.30 until shift end.
The rota is issued 4 weeks in advance.The shifts on offer are 5 x 4 hour shifts and 5 x 5.5 hour shifts.

Qualifications /TrainingNVQ /QCF level 2 /apprenticeship level 2 or equivalent in related subject or GCSE English and maths at C grade or above or equivalent
Previous work involving Phlebotomy
Work in a healthcare role or similar
Must have transport and be able to travel to outreach/walk-in phlebotomy clinics
