- Project management and delivery of technical work within a specified project
- Delivery of Maintenance or Overhaul Optimisation on fleets of traction & rolling stock
- Production of technical documentation and reports
- Predominantly office-based but offsite work is required throughout the UK
- Chair meetings with clients and other industry professionals at all seniority levels
- Maintain continuous communication with clients in the development and delivery of projects
- Undertake a vehicle inspection on a variety of Rolling Stock/ Plant Equipment
- Undertake Risk Assessments and Risk Analysis relating to engineering change
- Analysis of maintenance costs, identifying proposals to increase the ratio between performance & cost
- Analysis of failure trends/ frequencies, and identification of root causes
- Perform duties as directed by senior management from time to time
- Proficient knowledge of planning, managing and delivering projects on time and to budget
- Ability to communicate and present yourself in front of peers and customers
- Practical experience of rolling stock engineering and/or maintenance
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Experience in undertaking process and production audits
- Fleet engineering experience
- Knowledge of modern rolling stock and systems
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with a professional body (or working towards)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or HND with significant relevant experience
- At least 5 years relevant experience
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with rail industry standards

Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team in London. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering and managing a variety of projects for our growing client base from across the UK rail industry with respect to the maintenance, overhaul and engineering of fleets of traction & rolling stock.
Reporting to the Engineering and Operations Director, the Project Engineer will be expected to act as the Project Manager as well as delivery of the engineering work packages as part of a team.
