We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Manager for a well-established Walsall based electrical switchgear and electro-mechanical business.

As a Manufacturing Engineer you'll have a high level of technical expertise and skill, which you'll use to plan, design, set up, modify, optimise, and monitor manufacturing processes.

What you will do:

Working directly with multiple disciplined teams across the operations to identify projects with an aim to improve processes and minimise costs whilst also considering safety, quality and leadtimes.
Review current manufacturing methods and processes propose and implement productivity improvements
Implement best practice assembly techniques and workflow
Ensure new products are implemented satisfactory with available assembly aids and tooling.
Design and implement assembly aids in the form of jigs and fixtures
Plan and organise maintenance of equipment
Justify and implement new machines when required

Skills/Qualifications

HNC or equivalent in Engineering
Previous experience within Electromechanical manufacturing company
Engineering knowledge in assembly techniques
Design capability using a 3D CAD System
Hands on and practical attitude to driving through project and process improvements
Good knowledge of tools, equipment and processes for product manufacture/assembly
A good attitude, flexible to challenges and possible changes is essential
