We are looking for:


  • A part time logistic operator responsible for the storage and loading of finished products, control and offloading of incoming goods & raw materials, operation of the logistics hub / gatehouse to receipt / despatch materials and control sundry site access, housekeeping standards in the logistics areas on site and maintaining computerised records of the materials dispatched and delivered in accordance with site procedures and quality standards.

We count on you for:


  • Receipt of packed raw materials, packaging, engineering and other supplies on to site. Checking that such deliveries match paperwork and identification of any issues (eg damage, wrong quantity). The unloading and correct storage of such materials in accordance with site quality and safety systems. Ensure the correct segregation of incompatible materials.
  • Ensure compliance with receipt procedures for bulk raw materials via the gatehouse, in accordance with site quality and safety systems.
  • Receipt of stores items into stores receipt area, take delivery of / issue out Royal Mail site post and sort into main groupings ready for selfcollection.
  • Control of vehicles entering and leaving site including during site emergency.
  • Operation of site weighbridge, vehicle booking system, receive site visitors, vet vehicles entering site, occasional sundry security such as issuing keys not held elsewhere & releasing cardax system if not able to be done elsewhere.
  • Ensure that production is supplied with required raw materials / packaging on time as directed.
  • Ensure that finished products are verified as correct (physically and against SAP), and removed daily to the correct storage areas and documented. Ensure all finished products are correctly stored.
  • Ensure the location is correctly recorded on SAP computer system.
  • Selection of correct product and lots for dispatch and preparation of delivery paperwork as required.
  • Ensure all packed orders are ready within specified time limits and to customers specifications. Correct labelling, banding and preparation of orders as required.

You will bring:


  • Experience in an industrial warehouse/logistics environment
  • Driving permit for counterbalance forklift truck
  • Experience of loading and offloading of packed materials from flatbed vehicles and shipping containers
  • Awareness of handling Dangerous Chemicals
  • Experience of working in a Chemical COMAH plant environment
  • Part of the site logistics team you will have good communication skills, be thorough, accurate, selfmotivated, flexible and confident to work alone.
  • Must be able to follow procedures and pay attention to detail.
  • Must be IT literate
  • SAP experience is desirable
  • English. Spoken & written, additional European languages advantageous
