Description

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, responsibilities for the role will include:

Managing the Production Team on any line and / or area
Ensuring production operates within the agreed Safety, Food Safety and Legal standards
Managing and operating manufacturing machinery
Promoting a cleanasyougo environment
Completing adhoc checks on QA operatives to validate weight and mixing accuracy
Managing the performance of the direct reports on a daily basis and training / coaching as required
Being actively involved in the resolution of production orientated issues, solving problems and identifying the root cause, implementing corrective and preventative actions
Assisting Engineering with preventative maintenance tasks
Staff management including formal paperwork and processes

Essential / Desirable skills include:

Previous Production / Front Line Management experience within the Food industry
Must be happy to be handson
Able to communicate well with their own team and the wider team
Ability to work autonomously yet seek help where required
Experience with basic problem solving tools
Comfortable with the use of metrics and key performance indicators to continuously support and offer improvements

A well established family owned Food Manufacturing Business with a reputation for reliability and consistency
Supplying superior fresh and frozen bespoke products to a wide range of customers including the Major Retailers
Site has BRC AA Grade

Working hours for the role are 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including around 2 additional 6 hour Saturday Shifts per month.

The salary is c.£31k per annum plus additional regular overtime.
