Llanelli is in a beautiful part of the country. It is located close to the Gower Peninsula with stunning views. There is an abundance of outdoor activities, such as hill walking, coastal cycling paths, sailing and school opportunities. There are also close links to the M4.

This post will commence as soon as possible.


To participate in providing, a service for the Breast Services to the hospital and community with the responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness with your consultant.


  • To provide effective leadership to all staff engaged in the specialty
  • To participate, sustain and develop teaching and research wherever appropriate
  • To undertake all work in accordance with the Health Board's procedures and operating policies
  • To conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Health Board's service plans
  • Core clinical expertise in Breast Surgery
  • Experience and knowledge of contributing to a subspecialty service; team building as well as working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Participation in annual appraisal and job planning
  • Maintain professional development for revalidation
  • Maintain a teaching and training role for medical undergraduates and postgraduates
  • Supervisor role to junior and clinical medical staff where appropriate
  • To undertake regular clinical audit and to keep up to date with evidencebased medicine

  • Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
  • Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales
