Nigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a high growth, market leading, North East based manufacturing organisation in the recruitment of a marketing manager who will lead the planning and execution of the marketing plan to promote new products to market.


Role

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • To develop and execute the marketing plan promoting new products to market. This will include market research, customer segmentation, strategic planning and positioning, marketing communications / promotion, partnership development and customer support.
  • Be a key point of contact for distributor customers. Support the rollout of promotional campaigns downstream and maximise brand impact through the inbranch channel. Ensure JIF funds are spent to support the current business plan.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally from technical, product, IT, production and legal and others to produce accurate and compliant promotional materials.
  • Participation in other Marketing projects as required.
  • Providing reports to the Head of Marketing and New Product teams on plans and progress
  • Manage performance of appointed agency partners, ensuring delivery on time, in full, on budget.
  • Brief agencies on the creation of new concepts overseeing creative and implementation. Obtain necessary consent and provide approval on all communications materials.
  • Propose budgets required for communications elements, track spend against budget in these areas. Evaluate ROI and ensure best value in tactical execution.
  • Update the website as required with new content.
  • Work with the Marketing Communications Manager to ensure the effective execution of communications across all relevant channels including direct mail, exhibitions, advertising, social media, video, website and PR. Ensure all content is data checked andproofread.
  • Support sales & marketing strategy by generating sales tools and marketing collateral, coordinating translations as required.

Experience:


  • Experience in utilising a broad mix of communications channels
  • Experienced in developing launch campaigns for new products.
  • Experience in communicating with different audiences within the supply chain and understanding of the importance of tailoring the message
  • Good understanding of digital channels/tools
  • Briefing agencies and managing performance
  • Good range of IT skills
