About the Role


We are now looking for a Transport & Asset Foreman/ Coordinator to join the team in Wembley & Amersham, looking after operations for the area.

You will be based at our Wembley & Amersham depots moving between both during the week. It is a busy role looking after the compliance and service schedules of circa 40 Vans of several types. You will have to be initiative-taking and self-disciplined. You will be working as part of a team but self-reliance and problem solving is a day-to-day necessity. You will report to the Logistics Manager who is overall lead in this.

In this role you will be working within the company's Transport & Asset Department between 08:00 to 16:30 weekdays and meeting the operational requirements of the role as follows:

  • Action vehicle defects ensuring a cost-effective repair and vehicles are kept road worthy.
  • Complete minor vehicle repairs. (bulbs/Lenses/Mirrors) mechanical knowledge an advantage
  • Investigate RTC, damage and accidents training will be provided.
  • Conduct investigations and appeals on PCN parking charges.
  • Maintain and update vehicle resource and stock on Field Service system.
  • Traffic light fleet management including on and off hires, battery control, damage and repairs, and performance testing.
  • Spot checks on all vehicles and report on operative performance to supervisor
  • Assist in all other transport management administration where required.
  • Conduct periodic asset/stock checks across the region.
  • Stock procurement for region and maintenance of the asset register including transfers, damages, and scrapped stock.
  • Maintain stock of vehicle consumables for minor defect repairs.
  • Yard condition & maintenance.
  • Stock organisation, repair, and condition maintenance
  • Vehicle loading/unloading as required.
  • Vinyl machine operation and special signs manufacture
  • Complete weekly walk round checks (Transport and QHSE) and action relevant nonconformances.
  • COSHH control in line with Company COSHH regulations.
  • Manage the depot PPE inventory.
  • Be the Safety Health & Environment (SHE) representative for the region.

Skills & Experience

Required

  • Full UK Driving Licence (maximum of 6 points)
  • Effective communication skills
  • IT literate, including Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Organised with diligence, especially with an eye for detail.
  • Selfmotivated and selfreliant.

Desired

  • National Transport CPC or 'O' Licence Training (OLAT)
  • Health & Safety Experience with IOSH/NEBOSH training (or knowledge of)
  • FORS Practitioner (or knowledge of)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge.
  • First Aider or Fire Marshall certification
  • Counterbalance Forklift License
