What you'll be doing:


  • Ensure the safe installation, test, commissioning, maintenance and operation of complex submarine systems identified within the Shipyard Installation Test Programme (SITP)
  • Ensure that the correct level of management scrutiny is applied to commissioning activities by assessing each test document iaw Process Instruction 010 (Safety Classification of Commissioning Activities)
  • To authorise the use of all installation, test, commissioning and operating documentation required to deliver the SITP

Your skills and experiences:


Essential

  • Detailed knowledge of the operation of complex electromechanical systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers/stakeholders
  • BEng (or equivalent level of qualification/experience in a relevant engineering discipline
  • IEng or ability to attain this status
  • Member of an Engineering Institute

The Team:


You will be a part of a small, multi-disciplined team of BAES, UK and US Government and Contractor personnel working on the Dreadnought submarine project.

There will be an opportunity for UK and US travel in support of training and attendance at key meetings, as well as a fantastic opportunity for a career development within the existing team / wider Dreadnought programme.
