An outstanding opportunity for a
Management Accountant to join a Harrogate based organisation who are continuing to experience great growth.

Within this role you will have responsibility for the ownership and detailed analysis of the monthlyand annual management accounts.


As Management Accountant you will:


  • Profit Margin Analysis according to the commercial contract.
  • Read and dissect commercial contracts to extract relevant information and communicate effectively.
  • Produce monthly management accounts for 1st draft review to strict deadlines.
  • Maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations for all balance sheet codes.
  • Manage Payroll and Expenses process ensuring accurate accounts.
  • Primary contact for internal accounting queries for the portfolio.
  • Use commercial acumen to identify opportunities to enhance the bottom line.
  • Analyse key variances that drive movements in the financial accounts and make recommendations.
  • Support in the review, analysis, and production of the annual budgets.
  • Assist in monitoring of KPI targets for the team and produce action plans.
  • Support the Assistant Management Accountants in the development of their knowledge and skills.
  • Monthly meetings with Operational team to understand the cost drivers within the business, gain an understanding of potential savings and challenge any overspend.
  • Support with the annual external audit.
  • Adhoc project work and other tasks as required.
  • Support and maintain best practice regarding GDPR.

What skills are required for the role:

  • AAT qualification or studying towards CIMA/ACCA
  • Minimum 5 years within Accounting/ Finance function
  • Commitment and enthusiasm
  • Willing and flexible work attitude
  • Self motivated with confidence and initiative to make decisions
  • Navison and JET reporting exposure would be ideal


As
Management Accountant you will gain a salary offering in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum plus other company benefits and incentives.
