Our friendly team at Meallmore are looking for a temporary
Kitchen Assistant to join them in
Auchtercrag House Care Home.

Set within the quaint town of Ellon, less than half an hour from Aberdeen, Auchtercrag House is a purpose-built, care facility.

The care home provides the highest quality personalised nursing care for older people including those living with dementia and its related conditions.

Our experienced, friendly and compassionate team are on hand to provide the best care tailored to each resident's individual needs and desires.

As a Kitchen Assistant, Meallmore will allocate you your own mentor, as well as a comprehensive induction process. But why stop there? Our mentorship programme and ongoing training will give you all the support you need to develop your skills and progress in your career whether that be a Sous Chef, Cook, or Head Chef, the choice is yours

Your role as a Meallmore Kitchen Assistant will include:

Keeping the kitchen areas clean and tidy
Supporting the catering team with basic food preparation as they create seasonal meals for our residents
Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
Assist with specialist dietary requirements
Serve nutritional meals

Required skills:

Basic knowledge of food preparation
Basic knowledge of food hygiene
The ability to stand for extended periods.
The ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
The ability to work in a team.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills

Salary
:
£9.85 per hour + benefits + overtime
Hours: 20 hours per week - shift times 8:00-18:30, can be flexible upon discussion.

Temporary post to cover maternity leave, potential to become permanent.
