    We have exciting new opportunity for a site-based Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join our Resident Maintenance team based on one of our client sites in South Cambridgeshire (Granta Park).

    The successful candidate must have:

    • Experience of working in critical/closed control environments
    • HV/LV competent person (CP) or approved person (AP) status working experience
    • Availability to work overtime and callout as required by the contract (typically callout 1 week in 4, overtime 1 Saturday every 4 months/3 per year, plus ad hoc as and when required)

    Responsibilities

    • To deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance, client project support and strategic services in accordance with the client contract.
    • To respond to and undertake reactive works in a safe and efficient manner, always complying with legislative and contractual obligations.
    • Ensuring that records of work are sufficiently detailed, accurate and kept up to date.
    • Ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to all building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations, to the agreed service level agreements
    • Undertake Technical Risk Assessment and method statement reviews and critique of Client's 'third party' hard services contractors
    • Provide JCA contracted services support to 'other' nominated Client sites
    • Following the completion of Client projects with third party contractors engaged by Client, and in conjunction with Client's project manager/employer's agent, manage the closing out of post practical completion defects
    • Support EMS probe calibration services, recording any defects or issues found within the EAM CAFM system
    • Regular, structured communication with contract team members and management to ensure continuity of work and teamwork
    • Adhere to both Client and JCA Policy and Procedures
    • Available to work overtime and callout as required by the contract (typically callout 1 week in 4, overtime 1 Saturday every 4 months/3 per year, plus ad hoc as and when required)
    • Respond to Building Management System alarms (BMS), and effect emergency repairs as needed
    • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the installed plant and systems
    • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of EAM CAFM task sheets
    • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices
    • Ensure that subcontractors are appropriately supervised to comply with contractual requirements, specification, and site operating protocols
    • Ensure a professional image of JCA is presented to clients and end users at all times, exhibiting high level of customer service delivery
    • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to carry out such other duties as may be required and as may be assigned by senior management from time to time

    Qualifications

    • A qualification in at least one of the following:
    • Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent trade-based qualifications
    • British Standard BS 7671 "Requirements for Electrical Installations" accreditation
    • 18th Edition IEE qualification
    • Other trade related qualification relevant to the building services environment
    • Experience of working in critical/closed control environments
    • HV/LV competent person (CP) or approved person (AP) status working experience
    • L8 Legionella Approved Code of Practice
    • IOSH working safely
    • Basic Competence with IT including MS Office, E-mail and Smartphones/handheld devices
