    Description
    We are a specialist engineering consultancy that provides scaffold design and temporary works solutions to contractors across the UK. We are seeking an experienced scaffold design engineer to join our team. The position is in Glasgow with seniority determined based on knowledge and experience.
    Role and Responsibilities Comprising 37.5 hours a week with a flexible start time of 8:30 am – 9:00 am. You will work in a fast-paced environment with options for office or hybrid working. You will develop concept designs and calculations for various projects.

    You will collaborate as part of our team and will be integral in supporting our reputation with our growing client base.

    Scaffold design is a specialist engineering discipline that requires in-depth concept and visualisation to meet the expectations and demands of the client.

    A desire to learn and a passion for quality and innovative thinking are sought values. You will be part of a supportive working environment with rich knowledge sharing. You will be exposed to a variety of unique engineering experiences to continue developing as an expert engineer.

    The day-to-day tasks will include the following:Developing concept ideasDesign calculationsCAD DrawingsRisk assessmentsSite visitsTrainingThe CandidateYou will have demonstrable experience in engineering a range of scaffold design solutions.

    You will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of basic engineering principles and the application of scaffolding systems. You will have an HNC, bachelor's or master's degree in a Civil Engineering based subject.

    Ideally, you will be a member of ICE or IStructE and have either achieved or are working towards becoming chartered.

    The ideal candidate will have the skills to visualise a variety of potential solutions for a problem. You will be confident and professional in communicating your ideas and experiences with the team and clients. You will be enthusiastic and eager to learn with a questioning nature. You will also be willing to mentor graduate engineers.
