- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent experience.
- RSA/OCR stage 3 word processing or audio typing plus ECDL - (or evidence of equivalent experience) or AMSPAR diploma or equivalent diploma level qualification.
- Educated to A Level standard or equivalent.
- Extensive secretarial/clerical experience or extensive office based work / admin experience
- Experience in audio typing.
- Experience of working with patient pathways and the 18 week referral to treatment target.
- Knowledge of Trust data systems Lorenzo, ICE, G2.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Awareness of medical records issues Data Protection, Information Governance.
- Good computer and keyboard skills with the ability to use Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.

This post is based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to provide a comprehensive and efficient secretarial service to a Consultant, along with many important duties that can be found below and in the Job Description.
