Berry Recruitment have an exciting new position available for a permanent Warehouse Operations Manager, for our client who specialise in Freight forwarding, based in Nursling Southampton.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 18:00 and the salary will be between £28,000 and £32,000, dependent on experience


Warehouse Operations Manager duties:

  • Manage admin team effectively to maximise productivity
  • Focus on optimisation and efficiency, by working closely with the office and shop floor teams to improve in these areas
  • Work closely with the office and shop floor team to manage monthly KPI's
  • Hold regular meetings with individuals and whole teams to build and maintain a high performing culture
  • Support the recruitment process across the warehouse department to ensure staff numbers
  • Have an oversight of transport compliance and vehicle maintenance
  • Close management of warehouse stock control including daily loads in and out
  • Work closely with the warehouse team and health and safety advisor to ensure all warehouse machinery is maintained to excellent standard
  • Oversee day to day depot admin and ensure that all admin tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Experience across both ETSF and Cleared cargo Freight arriving at the facility
  • Experienced in leading and developing teams and individuals
  • Selfmotivated and able to work alone as well as part of a team
  • This is a customer facing role
