Description

We are seeking a Youth Justice Officer for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will supervise young people on court orders, work with complex families, and contribute to reducing re-offending rates while upholding statutory obligations and National Standards.

Provide advice and recommendations based on analysis and evaluation of information.
Lead and manage projects, contributing to process improvements and service standards.
Prepare timely, high-quality reports for courts and Referral Order Panels.
Ability to engage with young people and their families with empathy and understanding.
Experience in working with high-risk individuals and vulnerable children with complex needs.
Capability to manage relationships with young people firmly yet fairly, supporting compliance and taking enforcement action when necessary.
Strong analytical skills and sound judgement in assessing risks and addressing them effectively.

Salary:
£17+ per hour
*Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours:
Monday – Friday, 36 hours per week
