Cell Guidance Systems is a Cambridge-based biotechnology company. Our primary research focus is the development of PODS, a remarkable protein delivery technology that increases the utility of a wide range of proteins with applications including disease therapy. We work in collaboration with universities and institutes in the UK and abroad to develop this technology. We also produce and sell a range of research products and services that allow scientists to achieve their research goals. These products, which include conventional growth factors and purification kits, are sold globally via our website and through sales offices and distributors.
Responsibilities
· Able to effectively answer the customer's technical questions and be the primary contact for technical support enquiries on our popular kits and products for medical research
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
· Support promotional plan and activities, including for example the attendance of conferences, workshops, webinars, etc.
· Support our distributors worldwide with training and sales support materials.
· Work with R&D and commercial colleagues to support new product launches and improve current marketing materials.
· Provide effective pre-sales support by ensuring that the customer's technical needs are well understood so appropriate product solutions are suggested and clearly communicated to the customer, via conference calls, email, or visits.
About you:
· You will have a biological or biomedical degree
Ideally, at least a year's experience working in the lab
· You will be dynamic, collaborative, adaptive, self-motivated, proactive and passionate about developing scientific concepts and technologies and applying them to meet customer's needs.
· You will have strong documentation, oral and interpersonal skills, show attention to detail, and have an analytical, methodical mind.
About Us:
Cell Guidance Systems is a fast-growing, Cambridge-based biotechnology company. We are working in collaboration with universities and institutes in the UK and abroad to develop a nanoscale drug delivery device, based on a natural mechanism, that enables the delivery of therapeutic proteins, primarily cytokines. This technology is called PODS (POlyhedrin Delivery System). Working with international collaborators in universities and other companies in the US, Japan, UK and The Netherlands, this technology is being applied to some of the most exciting and demanding therapeutic challenges. These include neurological, orthopaedic and ophthalmologic targets.

Cell Guidance Systems is located on the Babraham Research Campus, one of the most dynamic biotech locations in Europe, and host to more than fifty companies working in diverse areas of biomedical research. The Campus is close to Cambridge University, Addenbrookes Hospital and the adjacent Biomedical Campus.
