    Description

    Working as part of a multi-disciplined team, the candidate will lead electronics hardware development activities for complex power distribution and conversion products across a range of programs.

    The successful candidate will apply their power electronics experience and expertise to understand product requirements and provide robust engineering solutions, in alignment with business objectives, to delight the customer.

    Apply solid engineering principles to power electronics design, analysis, and verification activities, compliant to robust product requirements and relevant business practices.

    Provide technical leadership to ensure that power electronics activities remain on track - by identifying, communicating, and resolving significant issues or developments, in collaboration with technical and project leaders.

    Authorise detailed technical documentation consistent with engineering policies and procedures, leading and influencing project and customer reviews as required.

    Relevant Engineering Degree (or equivalent), with full lifecycle domain expertise
    Significant experience of power electronics design for AC & DC power distribution
    Strong influencing, problem solving and solution building skills - including at a customer level.

    Ability to clearly communicate complex design concepts - both orally and written - and make decisions based on sound judgement.

    Experience in power electronics design for aviation, automotive or similar safety critical applications, in an NPI environment.
    Familiarity with engineering tools including Xpedition, SIMetrix, DOORS, Windchill.
    Demonstrable application of Design for Manufacture/Test (DFM/DFT) considerations.
