Description

In summary, the job requires staff to clean warded areas following a cleaning schedule which includes patient bedrooms, medical rooms, kitchen, laundry, bathrooms and wc's in addition to all the communal ward areas and offices.

There are two housekeeping staff allocated to each ward each day and the cleaning duties are shared according to shift worked (either morning or afternoon).

Additionally,our housekeeping staff are responsible for preparing lunch and/or tea for the patients on their ward which involves the preparation of food for cooking or for salads/sandwiches using various pieces of kitchen equipment whilst following food hygiene regulations (training is provided on site).Our cook/freeze system of catering involves buying in already cooked and frozen food and regenerating in special ovens.

This means that whilst catering experience is advantageous, it is not essential.

However, we are looking for people who know their way around a kitchen and have knowledge of cooking even if only in a domestic setting.
