Description

We are PKAVS, we are an incorporated charity that serves the community of Perth & Kinross offering four community-led services supported by a team of 80 colleagues and up to 50 volunteers.


We operate across five locations in Perth & Kinross under our service banners which include Carers PKAVS, the Third Sector Interface, The Walled Garden & Wisecraft PKAVS, Shopmobility PKAVS, and The Big Hoose.


PKAVS Carers Centre supported by Perth & Kinross Council, the Gannochy Trust and the Big Hoose project, Lochgelly, Fife are creating a Big Hoose hub to help support people living in Perth & Kinross.

The Big Hoose project support families experiencing hardship.

In 2023 the Big Hoose in Fife predicts it will provide £10 million pounds worth of household goods to 80,000 disadvantaged families.


The Perth & Kinross hub will be able to access the household goods that have been donated to the project by the private sector.

Professionals such as Charities, Teachers, Social Workers etc who are registered with the Perth Hub will receive a weekly inventory of goods that are available at the warehouse and can submit a referral to receive goods to support families in their care.

These goods will be transported from Fife to Perth those professionals will be able to collect and deliver the goods to families.


The role

What you will be doing

Referral Process_

  • Learn and then have a comprehensive knowledge of the referral criteria, local charity partners and the process.
  • Receive, check and sort goods as and when they arrive.
  • Pack orders for referrers collection or delivery.
  • Assist with loading/unloading goods from vehicles at collection time.
  • Be able to clearly communicate any issues with orders, collections and manage expectations of stock level when required.
  • Keep on top of all pending orders, ensuring communication with coordinator on what stage an order is at, when they are ready to be collected etc.
  • Assist with delivery of goods when required.

Data Reporting_

  • Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and be flexible for any updates or changes in what needs reported.
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing stock when required.

Communication_

  • A point of contact for all Charity Partners/Professionals.
  • Build relationships and establish trust with them.
  • Manage expectations of stock levels they can receive, be flexible to any requests made regarding orders and strive to give them the best possible experience and do your utmost to fulfil requests they have to benefit families.
  • Be personable and approachable, never make assumptions.

£20,820.00 per year
