    Post No. POSN Site Manager - Glasllwch Primary School

    Glasllwch Primary School provides education for pupils between 3 and 11. It is located in an economically advantaged, residential area of Newport and is within the John Frost cluster of primary schools. There are currently 210 pupils on roll plus 15 full time equivalent pupils in the nursery which opened in September 2015.

    The Governing Body and Head Teacher of Glasllwch Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, proactive and reliable Site Manager to start on Tuesday 28th May 2024.

    We are looking for a candidate who:


    • Is willing and able to work positively with our school community including; children, staff, parents/carers and governors;

    • Has a proven track record of success in a trade or type of premises management;

    • Has an eye for detail and understands the importance of Health and Safety Policies and Procedures;

    • Has the skills to prioritise tasks and can effectively plan their own time and liaise with contractors and the senior leadership team to ensure the school is in good repair and running smoothly;

    • Is digitally/technically literate or has experience with basic programmes such as Outlook / Word / PowerPoint;

    • Has experience of maintaining and managing security systems, fire systems, access controls, water systems and other premises systems;

    • Can be proactive, flexible and a team player;

    • Embraces professional learning, is willing and able to attend training as appropriate and to disseminate premises training to all staff;

    • Has high expectations of themselves, others, and will take a sense of pride in the school site.
