Reed in Colchester are currently recruiting for a Customer Engagement Officer/Customer Relations Representative for a well renowned client of ours based in Colchester.


In this full-time office-based role you will be responsible for all activities supporting the development, retention, and growth of the company's membership - both individually via its Standing Groups and Research Networks and institutionally through itsmember universities.


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Work across the organisation and with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to support the effective implementation of the annual membership engagement plan
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure the effective implementation of all aspects of the membership engagement plan across all marketing and social media channels
  • Lead a new project to raise the profile of our grantgiving activities to the community, ensuring all opportunities are communicated and publicised widely; developing initiatives and campaigns to highlight the value of funding and impact on recipient'scareers; and keeping all sections of the website up to date and maximised for impact
  • Build successful professional relationships with key stakeholders, including at member institutions and those leading our groups and networks, to ensure all are full supported throughout the year
  • Work with the Events and Communications teams to ensure the successful delivery of the annual programme of all events organised by our Groups and Networks, both inperson, online and hybrid
  • Ensure all areas of the website relating to membership and community engagement are kept fully up to date and all opportunities are maximised
  • Monitor, update and create/advise where necessary content for all external communications for Groups and Networks, including sections of the website; any external group sites; social media channels; use of brand etc
  • Monitor the activities of all Groups and Networks to ensure they are both fully compliant with the company's guidelines and governance; fully supported where possible by staff; and publicised widely, identifying new opportunities and improvements
  • Coordinate and monitor the delivery of all aspects of governance and administration for the portfolio, including elections and appointments, welcome and induction training programmes
  • Collate, review, and provide data and analysis to internal and external stakeholders to support both engagement strategy and governance functions. Support the development and implementation of membership surveys, focus groups and other similar engagementactivities
  • Organise all internal and external meetings related to the role (both inperson and online), taking minutes in meetings where required
  • Attend events, functions and meetings representing the business and its interests. This may involve foreign travel and overnight stays away from home
