FSL carry out quality, hygiene, and safety inspections across the UK for a wide range of clients.

We independently monitor the quality and safety of the food they present to customers, giving them the data to make measurable improvements and have total confidence that their business is complying with food safety and health & safety legislation.

We have an exciting opportunity for a food quality inspector to join FSL.

You will carry out quality inspections on fresh and prepared produce, meat and fish and baked products destined for retail.

All aspects of quality will be assessed, such as size, condition, freshness, packaging, weight and more. Details and non-conformance's will be recorded for submission digitally to our head office.

A keen attention to detail is a must, along with the ability to use a spreadsheet, and mobile devices such as an iPad.

You will need to work well using your own initiative, have a great manner with both colleagues and clients.

All training and equipment needed will be provided.

Weekly quality inspections for our client are at distribution centres in Basingstoke, Thatcham and regional stores.

The hours each week are flexible but will average at for 2 days per week.

The job involves travel so it essential to be a driver and have access to a vehicle

Mileage is paid for all travel costs away from base location at 45p per mile

The Package:
£11.72 / Hour

Hours are flexible

Variable hours, but with an expected minimum of 2 days per week

Access to a company pension

Statutory holidays as pro rata based on your average hours
