Multi Skilled Shift Engineer - Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom - Premier Foods
Description
Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer
Based – Stoke Bakery, Mr Kipling manufacturer, ST4 6PH
Shift Pattern - 4 x 4 (12hours) - 2 x days, 2 x 12 hr nights
Salary £47,186 per annum
Engineers thrive on the investigative journey of how things work, how they are made, and why they are successful. Robotic repetition in a box-ticking pigeon-hole role isn't for you; instead, you're driven by a passion for learning and the pride from progressive problem-solving.
This is a Multi-Skilled Engineer that empowers you to make a difference, rather than giving you a list of instructions. We want to harness and develop your desire to dig to the root cause, challenge the status quo, and evolve our process.
Premier Foods is a flagship industry player and own big-name brands such as Mr Kipling, Ambrosia and Batchelors. In joining us, you'll be part of an established and progressive business that's achieved steady financial growth during the past five years and continually invest into our manufacturing sites.
We recognise and embrace the important role Multi-Skilled Engineers play in understanding issues, not just fixing them. You are vital to the continuous improvement journey that prevents machine unreliability and, in turn, poor customer service and the loss of customers.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer at our Stoke Bakery, you'll be part of a team of six, reporting directly to a line manager on each shift.
You'll be working a shift pattern of 2 days, 2 Nights, 4 off (with some flexibility required, as there could be some overtime needed).
Premier Foods is an inclusive and progressive working environment. There aren't battles and blame games when something goes wrong. We work together to benefit the team, the site, and the overall business.
If inconsistencies and inefficiencies irk you, this is your calling. This role is not about sticky-plaster fixing and short-term greasing; at Premier Foods, you'll be using your engineering mindset and passion to enhance maintenance plans, investigate problems, and be part of a culture that improves equipment reliability.
