Description

You will work with key business stakeholders to identify and run sourcing projects, negotiate with suppliers, manage contract renewals and drive supplier performance to deliver agreed targets.

You will lead end to end supplier engagement and sourcing activities, from definition of business requirements, sourcing, tender analysis, negotiation, performance monitoring and ongoing procurement life cycle management.


Responsibilities

  • Negotiation of supplier contract reviews and price negotiations
  • Key account management
  • Monitoring Supplier performance against agreed KPIs to drive higher levels of performance
  • Support the Procurement Team to deliver on key objectives and to develop all supply chain activity within the team, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Deliver savings and added value through effective sourcing and procurement
  • One direct report responsible for procurement administration
  • Working with the business and liaising with external suppliers where necessary to resolve queries
  • Sustainability reporting and generating actions to minimise the business' carbon footprint
  • Data analysis to support procurement initiatives, identifying areas within the business to help reduce costs
  • Evaluate processes worked on and suggest improvements
  • Ad hoc project work

Key skills and attributes

  • Procurement experience including ability to negotiate at a senior level
  • Have good organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines by prioritising accordingly
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively in fluent English (written and spoken)
  • CIPS qualified or working towards
  • Experience using Maximo software and Power BI is advantageous
