Bhayani Recruitment is working in partnership with a residential care provider based in Leeds to recruit a Finance Controller to help grow and take charge of their finance department.

Summary of role

As a member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for the overall financial management of the group, working closely with senior management in setting and monitoring budgets to provide timely and accurate financial information to inform business decisions.

This is a stand-alone position with the view to recruit other members of the team to help support this role, the successful individual will have the opportunity to help grow and take charge of the finance department.

This role is office based with the view to be hybrid once the finance department is fully set up and running efficiently.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the highest professional standards of accountancy practice and ensure that appropriate financial planning and reporting systems are in place.
Daily reporting and analysing targets.
Meeting with department heads.
Managing and coordinating monthly reporting, budgeting, and reforecast processes.
Providing backoffice services such as accounts payable, collection and payroll.
Monitoring cash flow.
Ensuring the business meets all its statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
Keeping track of market trends.
Looking for costreduction opportunities.
Developing effective relationships with key financial stakeholders including auditors, funders, and the bank.
Supervising staff

Requirements:

CIMA qualified, or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience in charitable accounts and grants management.
Experience working at strategic and senior manager levels.
