Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator

Mon-Fri 9-5 with half hour lunch

Salary range £21K - £27K DOE
***Our reputable client who are based in Stansted, Essex is recruiting for a Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator. The role is to ensure safe, efficient, and timely running of warehouse functions to deliver a level of customer experience in line with our client's service aims and targets. To support and take direction from the Operations & Logistics Manager to ensure the department delivers to required timelines regarding the needs of Sales and Finance departments and other company departments as necessary.


Assuming responsibility for the safe running of the warehouse and for ensuring that stock is maintained in an ordered and clear manner.


Main duties of the Warehouse and Logistics Manager:

  • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient stock control.
  • Undertake receipt and checking of incoming stock in respect to packaging, labelling and compliance to purchasing specifications.
  • Ensure products are correctly located within the warehouse and in line with the warehouse stock location plans.
  • Pick customer orders and build for dispatch (including full pallet builds) as per company processes.
  • Ensure stock rotation is undertaken in accordance with FIFO.
  • Ensure packing lists & export documentation is accurate and prepared timely manner.
  • Undertake forklift duties as required ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and to company guidelines.
  • Ensure all stock is stored, handled and transported securely and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Partake in stock takes when required.
The role is roughly 60/40 admin/physical.

  • Must be willing to drive forklift truck training given if required but previous experience would be beneficial.
  • Initiative / attitude more important than experience. I need someone who will challenge me and bring new ideas not just wait to be told what to do.

The role will occasionally involve travel to our clients logístical partners operational locations, currently Harwich and Immingham and may also involve travel to suppliers premises and other locations related to work, training, or trade events.
