    Description

    Forbes Solicitors are looking for an Applications Trainer, based in our Walton Summit office, with travel across the Forbes offices. The successful candidate will work as part of the IT Department, to deliver training on various applications to our new and existing staff. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Whilst the role will be working to the fast-pace, customer focus and high standards of a law firm, the role will also provide a sustainable work-life balance and relate to the regional area in which it is based.

    The successful candidate will be required to deliver a training service to our internal customers which is respected for its professionalism and helps the Department to consistently deliver an effective and efficient service, to support the development of firms workforce. Training will be delivered in person as well as remotely on occasion.

    The role will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes such as:

    • Deliver Induction training to new staff joining to firm and being a point of contact as new colleagues learn to use the IT systems.
      • In-depth training on the firms case management system. Experience of working with case management systems desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
      • Developing and delivering training on Microsoft Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Office 365, SharePoint etc.
    • Deliver training on existing and new software packages that are introduced to the firm.
    • Update Training Manuals as systems develop.
    • Update and maintain training records on our internal systems.
    • Update and ensure the quality of data entered into firms case management system (full training provided).
      • Checking the integrity of data entered on all new entities created.
      • Providing timely feedback to members of staff on input errors and seeking resolution.
      • Conducting 28-day checks to clear resolved entities and chase any that are outstanding.
      • Identify duplicate entries and resolving issues.
      • Identifying historic company entities and recording the entities to be used in the future.
    • Attend and contribute to regular team meetings.
    • Compiling monthly reports.
    • On a rota bases be the main point of contact for any training queries that arrive.
    • Ensure all delivery of training and interactions with our internal customers are conducted in a professional, fair and consistent manner in line with the firms vision and values.

    We will be progressing applicants to the next stage based on applications demonstrating the following the knowledge, experience, and skills:

    • Be educated to GCSE level, including Maths and English grades 9-4 (A-C), or equivalent.
    • Excellent IT skills and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Office 365.
    • Demonstrate experience of previous SharePoint training delivered.
    • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal and be confident in delivering training one to one as well as larger groups at all levels.
    • Demonstrate experience of writing training manuals/guides from scratch.
    • Have high levels of organisation skills and be accurate in the presentation of their work.
    • Be a motivated self-starter, with the ability to manage their time effectively and efficiently under minimal supervision.
    • Can work as part of a team and demonstrates a dedication to maintain team communications in a remote team.
    • An appreciation and understanding of employee confidentiality at all times is required.
    • A clean driving licence and access to a vehicle (or other means of transport between offices), as travel will be required to service the firms other offices in the Lancashire, Manchester and Leeds area (*If you have a disability that prevents you from driving, please specify so we can assess what reasonable adjustments can be made.)
