    Job summary

    To assist with the coordination and management of efficient and effective Emergency Services.

    To deputise in the absence of the Administration Manager, reporting any escalations to the Associate Directorate Manager to ensure the continuity of the Service is maintained.

    To assist the Administration Manager with the day to day Line Management of the Directorate Admin Clerks

    To work as a key member of the team within the Emergency Services, to provide operational and supervisory support.

    To manage own workload and that of others.

    To ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

    Main duties of the job

    To communicate effectively on a daily basis with the Administration Manager to ensure the most efficient service is delivered and maintained.

    To manage sickness monitoring in line with the Trust Attendance at Work Policy.

    To manage day to day duties of staff and ensure 24hr cover at all times within the service areas.

    To be actively involved in a new starter Local Inductions, actively involved with competencies and monitoring progress.

    Conducting staff appraisals and highlighting development and training needs with action plans.

    Job responsibilities

    To communicate effectively on a daily basis with the Administration Manager to ensure the most efficient service is delivered and maintained.

    To produce and monitor the Emergency Service , including allocations on a weekly basis to ensure Service areas are covered at all times. Approving staff annual leave in line with rota's and organising appropriate cover throughout the Service areas.

    To be responsible for monitoring and coordinating all aspects of the work undertaken by the Admin Team, ensuring that agreed timescales are monitored and met on a daily basis.

    To manage sickness monitoring from the Health & Wellbeing stage through to Final Notice of Concern in line with the Trusts Attendance at Work Policy and develop action plans in line with the Trust Policy.

    Assisting in the Recruitment and Selection Process of staff.

    To support admin clerks with regular daily checks around systems and processes, giving operational support as and when required to do so.

    To provide Statistical Information in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met.

    To manage day to day duties of staff and ensure 24hr cover at all times within the Service areas. To maintain continuity when dealing with emergency leave situations and sickness.

    To respond in a professional and sensitive manner when dealing with confidential issues with colleagues ie personal matters in or outside work with empathy.

    To monitor data entry and ensure that accuracy and quality is maintained.
