Job Vacancy:

Dave Cook Engineering ltd has served the Horticultural industry for over 25 years from its Donington (Lincolnshire) base. We are a family run business looking for a Electrical/Maintenance Engineer. We work as an agent for several Dutch companies in the horticultural sector, installing new equipment, servicing, maintaining and supporting our customers with breakdowns.

We are looking for an individual who can provide a high quality level of work, be professional, troubleshoot complex machinery, able to meet the customers' demands whilst working on their own initiative, meet deadlines and provide excellent customer service.

Job Type:

Full-time, Permanent, (Van included)

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm (on call one in five weekends)

Salary Range £36,000 - £42,000 (Depending on experience)

UK Resident and within a 20 mile radius of Lincolnshire

We also visit Ireland once every 3 months to service our customers machines and abroad work will be available.

As one of our highly skilled Electrical engineers you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on flower equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance
• Provide a high-quality level of service with a professional approach.
• Able to meet the customers' demands while working on your own initiative or in a team.
• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive 'can do' attitude
• Follow/adhere to safe working practices and health and safety

The Candidate we are looking for will have the following skills and experience:

• Hold a valid driving licence
• Recognised apprentice trained trade qualifications
• NVQ3 - helpful
• Knowledge of automation
• Pneumatics/Control circuits
• Knowledge of a factory workplace
• Work on your own or as part of a team in certain situations
