    The Financial control team is responsible for recording and managing all transactions, payroll, tax, insurance and production of the annual accounts.

    Reporting to the Financial Controller, The main purpose of the role is to provide in-house expertise on tax matters relating to SRUC group activities.

    Majority of the role relates to advice on correct Value added Tax (VAT) treatment of commercial and funding projects and completing quarterly VAT returns to His Majestys Revenue and Customs (HMRC) which are in line with tax legislation and relevant HMRC guidance.

    This includes detailed analysis of data used for the tax return and its accurate compilation in line with the complex PESM in place
    Gaining an understanding of the finance system to ensure that tax logic is applied consistently and in compliance with VAT regulations
    The ideal candidate should possess a tax qualification or qualification by extensive experience. Experience with other taxes is welcomed.
