The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 9-5pm


The Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Profession Services (NMAHP) Directorate provides professional leadership, governance, support, advice and supervision across NHSGGC and to develop effective policies and strategies so that the optimum professional standards which underpin excellent outcomes for patients are deployed in all services.

To provide expert professional advice to the Board on statutory and regulatory NMAHP requirements and assuring the Board of their delivery.

It facilitates and quality assures clinical practice, professional and education development of all frontline staff to ensure safe, effective person centred practice and care.

The NMAHP Directorate of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde provides professional Leadership for the nursing and midwifery function across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.

The corporate Practice development team is very much an operational team who lead on NHSGGC Care Assurance infra-structure including the corporate Care Assurance Visits, embedding a care assurance quality improvement culture, implementation of clinical initiatives, delivery of bespoke educational delivery and associated policy development.


The post holder will:
be responsible for providing administrative support to the Corporate Practice Development Team and

The post-holder is responsible for ensuring the administrative service they provide is effective and efficient.

Administer the University of West of Scotland Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) processes in conjunction with the Associate Chief Nurse

Produce quarterly reports on the spend for both the SLA and CPD

You should have

Educated to HND level or equivalent in secretarial studies.

Relevant experience at a senior secretarial level.

Administrative experience of working at NHS Directorate or Board level.

Experience of minute taking at Board/Committee secretariat level.

Must have excellent communication, organisational and literacy skills.

Fast and accurate keyboard skills.

A current driving licence is desirable
