Head of Payroll - up to £65k - London

My client is a highly successful, privately owned recruitment agency with an international footprint - they are rated as one of the fastest growing recruitment businesses in Europe.

They are looking to appoint a Head of Payroll at their London office - ideally your background will be within a recruitment agency or umbrella company where you have had exposure to high volume Temp / Contract payroll.

This is an incredible opportunity to join an expanding company as it enters its next phase of growth, increasing its presence on an international basis.

Role - Head of Payroll
Managing a team of 4, you will coordinate and manage the entire payroll function, to include:

Dealing with high volume PAYE payroll processing
Liaise with HR regarding new hires, terminations, remuneration and conditions of service
Processing salaries and commissions on a monthly basis
Assisting with monthend processes such as the preparation and reconciliation of superannuation, payroll tax and PAYE obligations.
Dealing with payroll queries from employees
Preparation of ad hoc reports as required
Previous experience of managing a payroll department
Minimum 2 years End to End Payroll experience ideally gained within a recruitment agency, umbrella company or multicompany business
Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems
Experience of calculating commissions
Problem solving ability, analytical and numeracy skills
Proven ability of being able to work to deadlines
Excellent communication skills
