Reed are currently recruiting for a Restaurant/FOH Manager for a well-recognised and established restaurant in Leeds City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic family run business.

You will be responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, including the selection, development, and performance management of employees.

In addition, they will ensure all standards are maintained and that all financial budgets are met whilst maintainingexceptional customer service and ensuring we consistently exceed customer expectations.


Primary responsibilities include:


  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions relating to matters of importance.
  • To analyse daily/weekly/monthly coverage sales identifying opportunities for increasing profitability and maximising revenue.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports as required.
  • To act as Tronc Master and to monitor Tronc systems in place.
  • Ensure that security procedures and security systems are in place to protect employees, customers, and company assets.
  • Lead and manage all Restaurant staff, communicating targets and taking responsibility for maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Conduct briefings and training sessions and deliver on maintaining and following up with training regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health and safety legislations and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards and all company policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all staff Health & Safety forms are completed as well as accident reports being correctly maintained, to ensure staff are up to date and aware of the strict criteria set by the government in terms of the Health & Safety.
  • Maintain an accurate plan of the restaurant and bar staffing needs. Prepare rotas and ensure the restaurant and bar are staffed correctly for all shifts.
  • Handling all customer complaints with the Marketing & PR Manager by investigating and resolving each complaint, feeding back to the team where necessary whilst ensuring the customer will return in the future.
  • Ensure the Marketing & PR Manager checks TripAdvisor each day and any comments added by customers are replied to where necessary.

Person Specification:

Self-discipline, initiative, leadership ability and an outgoing personality.
Pleasant, polite manner and a neat and clean appearance.
Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet company standards.

Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions to restaurant problems.

Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.

Ability to coordinate multiple tasks such as food, beverage and labour cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities.

Ability to determine applicability of experience and qualifications of job applicants.
