Robertson Bell is pleased to be partnering with a prestigious charitable organisation, in Central London, who are seeking a Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

Joining a dynamic and collaborative finance team, this role will take ownershipof the management accounting for the organisation and improve the business partnering function to support budget holders in meeting their financial objectives.


The main responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

  • Lead on month end closing and reporting, overseeing the work of junior members of staff to ensure accurate input of data into the organisation's bespoke financial system.
  • Ownership of producing the monthly management pack, detailing profit and loss statements for each of the sites, as well as supporting variance analysis and commentary.
  • Work to build strong working relationships with budget holders to develop and understanding of the operational causes of variances in budget vs actual spend and provide valuable support on improving financial management.
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance to identify and implement process improvements and enhanced reporting to drive efficiencies within finance.

  • A qualified accountant or finalist (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA/equivalent)
  • Able to produce a full set of management accounts.
  • Experienced in working in the not for profit or public sector.
  • A proactive problem solver with fantastic communication skills.
